More Update Actions for Automation Rules

A new type of update action has been added to the Automation Rules functionality. It is the ‘Add’ action. Rather than being able to set a field to a new value, this new action makes it possible to add multiple relations to a record.

This can be useful, for example, when one or more approvers need to be added to an approval task, service instances need to be added to an implementation task, configuration items need to be added to a request, etc.

The ‘Remove’ update action is also new. It can be used to remove multiple relations from a record. And for completeness, the ‘Clear’ update action was added. This one makes it easy to get an automation rule to empty a field’s value.
