Xurrent Connect 2018 in Review
The Xurrent team is now home after another successful Connect event. This year not only featured the main conference but also included a full day of training where we caught up with partners and customers and made some new friends.
According to our guests, the venue’s grand interior and the atmosphere on board made it a very special setting for Connect. At night, the harbor-side location, the view of the Rotterdam skyline and the beautifully lit ship made it even more impressive.
Here is a quick recap of what happened for those who were unable to make it.
Day 1 – Training
The training day was a great success with very positive responses from customers, partners and prospects. Besides learning about new features, tips and tricks on the platform, attendees also learned from each other in all the sessions. The breaks were a great way to network with the people who had shared their stories in the training sessions.

The evening saw the Xurrent Partner Dinner. Great conversations were had and future plans discussed, but the absolute highlight from our perspective was that attendance was nearly double that of last year!
Day 2 – The Conference
The conference day itself started with a keynote speech by Xurrent’s CEO Cor Winkler Prins, who explained how IT Service Management (ITSM) moved to Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and on to Service Integration and Management (SIAM) and how this enabled digital transformation for enterprise firms.
The remainder of the day was packed with information about Xurrent features and future developments, and it featured speakers that included industry experts such as Simone Jo Moore.

We also announced our strategic partnership with Service Flow. You can read all about it over at PR Newswire.
The day was rounded off with a talk by Marc Lammers. Marc took the audience ‘from Good to Gold’ as he did with the Dutch National Hockey Team at the Summer Olympics in 2008. It was a captivating presentation about collaboration, change and how to get the very best out of teams and individuals.

Connect 2018 ended with a dinner at Hotel New York, which has become a tradition over the years.
The event was a great success this year and was even bigger and better than Connect 2017. We look forward to exceeding that in 2019!
