Impressions from Xurrent Connect 2019

Connect 2019Xurrent Connect 2019 has come to an end. We welcomed delegates from over 20 countries aboard the ss Rotterdam. A record number of people attended the training sessions during the first day of the event. The main conference was held on the second day and also saw a record number of attendees.

Day 1 – Training

The first day started with an overview of the Xurrent SCCM Connector. This session was provided in collaboration with Scope4mation. This was followed by a review of the SCIM integration capabilities that are now an integral part of the Xurrent service.

In the afternoon, multiple training sessions were provided for beginners and experienced Xurrent administrators. Topics ranged from Automation Rules and UI Extensions to Account Setup and Service Catalog Best Practices.

The evening session was reserved for Xurrent partners and concluded with a group dinner at Hotel New York.

Day 2 – The Conference

Cor Winkler Prins (CEO, Xurrent) opened the second day of Xurrent Connect 2019 with an update regarding the developments over the last 12 months. Later that day, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the main industry trends such as: VeriSM, Agile, ITIL 4, DevOps, Shift Left, Enterprise Service Management and, of course, Service Integration and Management (SIAM).

Laurens Pit (CTO, Xurrent) provided a dedicated update about the security and compliance aspects of the Xurrent service. Later in the afternoon Laurens came back on stage to provide a sneak preview of the ‘Provider Reports’ that our development team is currently working on.

The conference was closed out by Cor Winkler Prins. He provided an outlook on where the industry is headed and how Xurrent will continue to add new features that enable dynamic sourcing. Dynamic sourcing focuses on providing the agility that the business needs to realize innovative digital initiatives more quickly.
