Atlassian Jira App Available in App Store

Patrick Bakker

A new app has been added to the Xurrent App Store: the Atlassian Jira app, by Expertize.  It is the first app available in our app store that is provided by one of our partners, to be made available to all Xurrent customers.  It is completely free to use, and can be installed in a matter of minutes.

Atlassian Jira integration app store

This Atlassian Jira app is a basic integration, by design.  It was created to enable organizations that work with both Xurrent and Atlassian Jira to work on the same issues in both applications, without fully synchronizing all relevant data.  This ensures that the integration is easily configured and maintained.  At the time of configuring, all that is asked is a mapping of Xurrent service instances with Jira projects.  When a request is created in Xurrent that is related to any of the mapped SIs, an issue with the same name is created in Jira.  All that is duplicated are notes, including images and attachments.  When the status of the request changes in Xurrent, a note with the new status is created in the issue in Jira.  The request and corresponding issue both contain links to each other.

Atlassian Jira integration by Expertize

Publishing an app on the Xurrent App Store is a good way for our partners to expose themselves to all our customers.  In addition, a publisher can also directly benefit from making premium apps available on the Xurrent App Store.  Ultimately, all organizations using Xurrent will benefit from these published apps, as they will be able to choose from a variety of out-of-the-box, well-supported and, in many cases, completely free integrations.

Requesting the publication of an app on the Xurrent App Store can be done via the standard request ‘Publish a partner app in the public Xurrent app store’.  More information about how to develop such an app can be found in our developer documentation.
